[13/06/200716:00:00] Four hundred participants from all over Europe and from many sectors of the European societies are taking part in the third Forum for the Future of Democracy, organised in Stockholm and Sigtuna in Sweden from 13-15 June, incooperation with the Swedish Government, the Swedish Parliament and the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions. The theme of the 2007 Forum is ”Power and Empowerment – the Interdependence of Democracy and Human Rights”. The keynote speech on the theme was delivered by Thomas Hammarberg, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights.
